Panasonic has added a new camera to its full line of Lumix digital cams today. The new camera is the Lumix DMC-FX75. The cam sports 14.1MP and has a 1/2.33″ RGB CCD image sensor. The camera also has a stabilized 5x optical zoom lens with Leica DC Vario-Summicron optics.
The 5x optical zoom lens is a 24mm wide angle up to 120mm-equivilent telephoto unit. It has an aperture range of f/2.2 to f/5.9 across the zoom range. The camera also has a macro mode that lets it focus on object sonly 3cm from the lens.
The rear LCD of the camera is a 3-inch 230K dot unit used for framing photos and video. The autofocus system is an 11-point system and face detection is included. The ISO range for the camera is 80 to 1600 with shutter speeds from 1/2000 to 60 seconds. Video recording is at 1280 x 720 resolution with AVCHD Lite or QuickTime Motion JPEG. The camera stores to SDHC or SDXC memory cards. Pricing and availability are unknown.
