If you use multiple computers at home of office then you can use same mouse and keyboard for all those computers easily. Some people use KVM’s to control multiple machines which lets you switch control to another physically connected machine. While you can use other remote desktop softwares to control other machines and access other desktops to control programs but what if I want to view all computers at the same time? What if I want to use one keyboard and mouse for two or more computers. We have two simple and free solutions for that...

Input Director Input Director is a Windows application that lets you control multiple Windows systems using the keyboard/mouse attached to one computer. It is designed for folks who have two (or more) computers set up at home and find themselves regularly sliding from one system to the other (and wearing out the carpet in the process!). With Input Director, you can share a single keyboard/mouse across a set of systems. You switch which system receives the input either by hotkey or by moving the cursor so that it transitions from one screen to the other (in a very similar fashion to a multi-monitor setup). The idea being that you can position the monitors from two or more systems in a row and use a shared keyboard/mouse to control all of them. Input Director also supports a "shared" clipboard, in which you can copy data onto the clipboard on one system, transition across to another and paste. The systems must be in networking and connected.

The master system is the computer that has the mouse/keyboard that you be using to control it and the other system(s). A slave system is one that can receive input (keyboard and mouse) from a master.
Synergy (Win, Lin, MAC)
Synergy is a multi-platform open source software that lets you easily share a single mouse and keyboard between multiple computers with different operating systems, each with its own display, without special hardware. It's intended for users with multiple computers on their desk since each system uses its own monitor. Redirecting the mouse and keyboard is as simple as moving the mouse off the edge of your screen. Synergy also merges the clipboards of all the systems into one, allowing cut-and-paste between systems. Furthermore, it synchronizes screen savers so they all start and stop together and, if screen locking is enabled, only one screen requires a password to unlock them all. All systems must support TCP/IP networking.
With synergy, all the computers on your desktop form a single virtual screen. You use the mouse and keyboard of only one of the computers while you use all of the monitors on all of the computers. You tell synergy how many screens you have and their positions relative to one another. Synergy then detects when the mouse moves off the edge of a screen and jumps it instantly to the neighboring screen. The keyboard works normally on each screen; input goes to whichever screen has the cursor.
In this example, the user is moving the mouse from left to right. When the cursor reaches the right edge of the left screen it jumps instantly to the left edge of the right screen.

one-mouse-keyboard-for-all-computers

You can arrange screens side-by-side, above and below one another, or any combination. You can even have a screen jump to the opposite edge of itself. Synergy also understands multiple screens attached to the same computer. Running a game and don't want synergy to jump screens? No problem. Just toggle Scroll Lock. Synergy keeps the cursor on the same screen when Scroll Lock is on. (This can be configured to another hot key.)
Do you wish you could cut and paste between computers? Now you can! Just copy text, HTML, or an image as you normally would on one screen then switch to another screen and paste it. It's as if all your computers shared a single clipboard (and separate primary selection for you X11 users). It even converts newlines to each computer's native form so cut and paste between different operating systems works seamlessly. And it does it all in Unicode so any text can be copied.
Do you use a screen saver? With synergy all your screen savers act in concert. When one starts they all start. When one stops they all stop. And, if you require a password to unlock the screen, you'll only have to enter a password on one screen. If you regularly use multiple computers on one desk, give synergy a try. You'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Some Hours ago I only wrote that we’ll soon see GeoHot coming out with Blacksn0w to unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Baseband 05.11.07 and he has finally done it today! He had been working for a while to find an exploit to come up with Blacksn0w to unlock iPhone 3.1.2 and looks like he has finally found it. Blacksn0w will be released along blackra1n on November 4 which will work on both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS with 05.11.07 baseband.
..

The video below clearly shows GeoHot running an unsupported carrier SIM on the iPhone which is on 05.11.07 baseband.

On every blog I saw lots of complaints regarding problems when unlocking iPhone 3G running firmware 3.1 with ultrasn0w. iPhone 3G users who have upgraded to 3.1 stock from iTunes will get this problem because of the 05.11.07 baseband, which makes it impossible to unlock it with ultrasn0w. The current version of ultrasn0w can only unlock iPhone 3G on firmware 3.1 with older baseband version i.e. 04.26.08...

Fortunately, there is a way to downgrade your baseband to 04.26.08 on your iPhone 3G so that you can unlock it with ultrasn0w on firmware 3.1. Here’s step by step instructions: Downgrade iPhone 3G OS 3.1 with Fuzzyband
Step 1: To downgrade your baseband from 05.11.07 to 04.26.08, you must first jailbreak your iPhone 3G running firmware 3.1 by following the step-by-step guide posted here ( for 2g and for 3g)
Step 2: After you have jailbroken your iPhone, Go to “Cydia” on your iPhone and Search for “Fuzzyband” and then install this application.
Fuzzyband

Step 3: Start “Fuzzyband” app and touch on “Downgrade” button to downgrade your Baseband from 05.11.07 to 04.26.08.

Downgrade iPhone 3G OS 3.1 with FuzzybandDowngrade iPhone 3G OS 3.1 with Fuzzyband

Step 4: You should now be able to perfectly unlock your iPhone 3G using the latest version of ultrasn0w .
NOTE: Downgrading of baseband will only work on phones that have the 05.08 (5.8) Bootloader from the factory. If you do not know your bootloader then you can run Fuzzyband and it will report the version number for you.

Good news for them who recently upgraded to iPhone 3.1.x firmware from iTunes! George Hotz (aka geohot) has confirmed in his blog post today that he is working on a tool dubbed blacksn0w, which will ultimately unlock 05.11.07 baseband (modem firmware) on iPhone 3G/3GS running iPhone 3.1.x firmware. He hasn’t given any ETA (estimated time of arrival) for it yet, but judging him from his past work, we can safely assume that it could be out in a few weeks time. ..

Here is a proof of concept screenshot which shows that he has managed to successfully run arbitrary code on the 05.11.07 baseband.

blacksn0w

For those of you who don’t know, geohot is the guy who first unlocked the original iPhone in 2007, and then later he was the first one to provide all-in-one jailbreak solution for iPhone 3.1.2 firmware through his infamous tool, named blackra1n.

If your phone is on 05.11.07 baseband with 05.08 (5.8) Bootloader from factory, then follow our guide here to downgrade your baseband from 05.11.07 to 04.26.08 in order to jailbreak and unlock it on iPhone 3.1.2 firmware.

Google Chrome was released with an amazing hype, which Google created in just two days with an online comic. Unfortunately, Mac and Linux weren’t lucky enough to try out Chrome as it was a Windows-only release.

When asked by Google, it said that Mac and Linux versions are in development and will be released soon...

Using Chrome’s codebase, developers over at CodeWeavers have created CrossOver Chromium, which is a Mac and Linux port of the open source Chromium web browser. It runs the Windows version of Chromium natively on both Mac and Linux.

What’s up readers? How was your weekend? :D I hope you had a great one. Last time, I wrote about GTalk (Google Talk) was when I found how to unblock blocked contacts in it. This time, I’m going to tell you how you can change or install new themes in GTalk.

Remember, themes are not skins. Gmail themes only change the layout of the conversation window. Where as skins change the entire design of the application.
..

How To Change Themes In GTalk
Just follow the steps below and you will have a new theme in no time:
  1. Open GTalk.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Click Appearance.
  4. Below Chat Theme, you’ll see a drop box. Choose whatever theme you want.
  5. Click OK and start chatting with someone to try the new theme.
There are about 10 pre-installed themes in GTalk, excluding the default one. I like the “orkut Picture” theme.
How To Install Themes In GTalk
Already knew change themes and tired of the default ones? Wanna install custom themes? Just follow the following steps:

1. Make sure you have the skin (usually as ZIP file).

2. Extract the files anywhere in your PC. (I don’t think I need to explain how to extract files :P Just do it with Winzip or any other good app.)

3. Copy the theme folder and paste it in:
C:Documents and SettingsUSERNAMELocal Settings
Application DataGoogleGoogle Talkthemesuserchat

USERNAME is your Windows user account name. If the chat folder (in the end) is not in the user folder, then create one and paste the theme folder in it.

4. That’s all! Now open GTalk, go to Settings > Appearance > Chat Theme and apply your new theme.

When I want to search for images, the first place to look for that comes to my mind is Google Image Search. It does lack a few features, but I still use it for all my image-searching needs.

To get a direct link for any image in Google Image Search, you have to first click the image and get the direct link from the website page where that image belongs to...

But thanks to a Greasemonkey script, getting a direct link is much easier now.

google-image-search-direct-link
Google Direct Image Links is a Greasemonkey script that adds a link to the direct URL of the image above every search result in Google Image Search.

This is a very useful script for people (like me) who use Google Image Search very often. No need to open the image page first just to get the direct link. You can copy it directly from the results page.

Download the script from the link given below.
