It feels like it’s been forever since Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7. And, despite the fact the details came afterward, it almost feels longer since we actually heard any details about one of the future mobile Operating System’s coolest features: Xbox LIVE support. We know it goes beyond just having your Xbox LIVE profile/avatar, and we know the XNA framework will make it easy for developers to integrate features from the console to the handset, but apparently Microsoft is going for the throat on this one.
Mercedes Arrow has been designed to draw a comparison with other recreational vehicles such as motorcycles, jetskis or personalized aircraft. This stunning vehicle gives its passengers the ride of their life. The bobsleigh shaped body, the lightweight materials and the sporty look enable it to shoot through heavy traffic like an arrow from a bow. This experience can only be enjoyed by two passengers, their seats are placed one in front of another. One of the stunning features this futuristic car has, is that it combines TANDEM with MAGLEV technology to take sharp corners. This innovative feature allows the body of the car to tilt left and right when the car is taking corners, thus minimizing the wheels tilt angle. There is an almost non-existing chance for the vehicle to slide out of control. Due to the slim body, the wheels cover the same space of tarmac, just as a contemporary car, eliminating the risk of the car flipping over. The designer, Felipe Palermo, found inspiration in the old Silver Arrows, the SLR McLaren and the 1954 Gull-Wing.
While some people may not look forward to their Wednesdays, we can’t help but be excited about today
due to the brand new MeeGo 1.1 User Interface screenshots that just made their way to the Internet. And, to make it better, today actually marks the first day of the MeeGo Handset User Experience Project, which seems to be designed to showcase MeeGo in its current form. Nokia is still planning on launching MeeGo 1.1 on Nseries devices later this year, and from what these screenshots show, they’re doing well for themselves. The beautiful and simple shape of this lamp created by Daniel Love, will bring peace into your home. It relaxes the eyes with its upside down L-shape and two color tones. The lamp uses two fluorescent tubes, one white and one red. Here’s where it gets interesting, the designer didn’t use the two different light colors just for design, they are for the interesting feature the lamp has been enhanced with. This lamp has the ability to show you the time. By hosting light as an interesting creation, the attributes of light can be further exploited by having two fluorescent tubes acting as the short and long hands of a floor standing clock. In his creation, Daniel, prevented the strong glare of the fluorescent tubes, by housing them in metal tubing.
When it comes to cases, there’s plenty of options. And Thermaltake is definitely no stranger to the market. But with this latest piece of hardware, the company can put a notch on their belt of “firsts.” This particular model, called the Element V, is actually the very first full tower chassis to be completely certified by NVIDIA. And for good reason — it has plenty of features tucked away in here that anyone interested would probably love to get their hands on one.
